 Dwayne Haizlip is an incarcerated North Carolina field minister at Scotland Correctional Institution, who is serving a lengthy prison sentence(22-29 years) for a non-violent offense( drug possession). We are trying to get his sentence reduced, We have petitioned the courts here in N.C many times; however, we have not had any luck. We are now asking NC Governor Roy Cooper and/or Greensboro, NC D.A Avery Crump  to reduce Dwayne's sentence. This is a unique case, Furthermore, we believed that Dwayne deserves another chance because: #1. He has changed his lifestyle and is now an exceptional man of God; #2. The circumstance of his case(s) are peculiar; #3 He can be used as a tool in our communities to help combat drug and gang problems.
